The Boy Next Door (Pojken i grannhuset) is a drama miniseries (4 x 50 min) that I have directed. It premieres 4 August 2025 and is available at YLE Areena. The series will later be available in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland (and hopefully more to come). I will update news here.

Synopsis:

Journalist Linnéa Krook recognizes her childhood crush Anton on TV and decides to find out why he disappeared 20 years ago. As Linnéa starts digging into the past, more and more questions arise. Why did he prefer playing horse with 12-year-old Linnéa rather than spending time with Linnéa’s 17-year old older sister, his girlfriend of the same age? And why did he write passionate love poems in Linnéa’s friendship book? The series follows both Linnéa’s search for the truth and Anton’s own struggle as being attracted to minors.
